Toy and Miniature Poodles for Show and Companion Homes (Companions are sold with non-breeding contracts.)

Mission Statement:
It is my mission, goal, and personal guarantee to strictly follow the Canadian Kennel Club code of ethics, rules, and regulations. I will breed only poodles of the highest quality bloodlines. I will not knowingly sell any dog that is not healthy, or not suitable for pure breed registration.
Treasure Pets Beginning:
I began Treasure Pets from my love and respect of the poodle breed. After extensive research, and study on aspects of poodle ownership, behaviour and breeding I made the commitment to purchase a high quality mating pair, Victoria and Amos. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my many thanks and sincere gratitude to Jessica Thompson of Everdear Kennels, and Gail Clouston of Cloudstone Toy Poodles who acted as wonderful mentors and shared their many, many years of experience with me. Without them my dream may not have come true.
About the Poodle:
The Poodle is the national dog of France, although the breed is not French. The dog we call poodle came from early German retrievers.
Poodles were originally retrievers of downed duck or geese for hunters. In the late 1500's hunting was a necessity for survival. Therefore, the hunter came to rely on and respect the poodles abilities. Poodles became very obedient and loyal to the hunter and often was welcomed into the hunters home and treated as a member of the family.
Poodles are among the oldest dog breeds and dogs which closely resemble the poodle are often shown in first century Greek and European artwork. By the early 1600's poodles became a regular pet for wealthy merchants and various royal families. Over time standard poodles were decreased in size by breeding smaller and smaller poodles together. The miniature poodle and smaller poodles were then introduced. Poodles we now call Toy were created in the 1900's. The standard poodle is classified as being above 15 inches height at the shoulder, the miniature is under 15 inches, but above ten. Toy poodles must be10 inches or under from the shoulder to the floor.
As performers poodles are often top champions in the show ring. Their exceptional obedience, intelligence, beauty, and grace along with their loyalty to their owners combine for a winning combination.
If a poodle comes from a good genetic back ground, receives loving care, and is well trained it makes for a wonderful loyal, devoted companion.
